Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has made a number of changes to his line-up for today’s Round of 16 clash against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the Alexandria Stadium, reports Completesports.com.
First choice goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, Kenneth Omeruo, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon all make a return to the starting line-up following last Sunday’s shocking 2-0 loss to the Barea of Madagascar.
Akpeyi, who plays for South Africa club, Kaizer Chiefs will take the place of Ikechukwu Ezenwa in goal, while Omeruo will replace Leon Balogun.
Ndidi and Iwobi will operate in midfield along with Oghenekaro Etebo, with John Ogu and captain John Mikel Obi making way for the duo.
Rohr has kept with Odion Ighalo in attack who will be flanked by Moses Simon and Ahmed Musa.

I truly love this man just d same way I love Donald Trump, despite the fact I would have played Chukweze n Osimene. This kinda stubbornness is what is needed to manage nigerians. Do what you feel it’s best n dare the consequence. God bless Rohr n SE.
Osimhen and Chukwueze have not done enough to start games for the team.
Gernot Rohr has fielded the best among those invited.The line up today is the best eleven available,should they fail is not because of the selection.
The countdown continues in next 35mins the long awaited clash will start. Mr Rohr has made his selection and nothing will change that. Chukwueze, osimhen, onyekuru are starting from the bench but may have to come in to change things if need be. A good squad that is capable of turning things around. Let’s give them all our supports now. Nigeria will win the match but have to be at their best to pull this off. I look forward to reading comments all night after we have humbled Cameroon.
