With nothing to play for against the Crocodiles, Rohr is expected to give some of his fringe players chance to impress.

The likes of Chidozie Awaziem, Tyronne Ebuehi and Semi Ajayi could start the game , while Oghenekaro Etebo is favoured to get a slot in midfield.

Enyimba winger Anayo Iwuala, who impressed following his cameo appearance against Benin is expected to feature from the start against Lesotho.

The game will hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos. Kick-off is 5pm.

  • I hope AIT or NTA will be able to beam this live – without trying to damage our eyes. I expect Rohr to feature his reserves, including Ebuehi, Iwuala, Noble and Adeleke (the home-based crew). Then start Onuachu and get ina few regulars.

On a side note, who would have imagined South Africa would be knocked out by Sudan (who qualified for the first time since 2012). It seems the qualifiers are throwing up some major surprises in other parts of Africa.

    • Tiny Gambia are even in. Wow. Perhaps a great chance for the big names like Nigeria to add to their Afcon win tally.

They had the chance to beat Ghana and didn’t. They felt a draw in Sudan will help them. This Afcon will be interesting to watch

Can you believe Ethiopia beat Madagascar 4 nil? That for me has been the most surprising result so far. I saw the highlights, and the result did not flatter Ethiopia. They took Madagascar to the cleaners.
