AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has demanded his side improve going into next weekend’s derby with Inter Milan.
The Rossoneri battled to a 2-1 win at Chievo on Saturday but were far from their best against Serie A’s bottom side. Despite failing to repeat their recent heights in Verona, Milan still extended their unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions and would like nothing more than to extend their streak in the Derby della Madonnina.
The outcome of the game will have a significant say on which of the Milanese clubs finishes in the Champions League spots and Romagnoli admits his team must be better if they are to beat their bitter rivals.
He told Milannews.it: “A fundamental victory but we have to do better, we did not play very well today. “The important thing is to improve, we have to give everything in the next three months – “The derby? We’ll take care of tomorrow.
It will be a difficult race. We must play as we have always done, put everything we have in and try to take the points.”
