Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Portugal reaffirmed their World Cup credentials with a dominant 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan on Tuesday.
Ronaldo is now the first player to score at six different World Cups, and also he is now his nation’s outright top scorer at World Cups with 10 goals, moving one ahead of the late Eusebio.
It was not the best of starts for Portugal following their disappointing 1-1 draw with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
