Ronaldo Vs Osimhen As Juventus Host Napoli In 2020/21 Serie A Matchday-3

Nigeria’s most expensive player, Victor Osimhen will face Portuguese star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo very early into his Serie A career with Napoli set to clash with Juventus on matchday- three of the new season at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Completesports.com reports.

Osimhen is, however, expected to make his first appearance ever in the Serie A against Parma on September 20 after the full fixture for the 2020/21 Italian top-flight season was drawn up on Wednesday

Napoli have been paired against Parma on matchday-one. Osimhen began his Napoli career on a great note with a hat- rick and an assist in the 11-0 mauling of L’Aquila at the Patini Stadium last Friday.

The Italian outfit saw off competition from Arsenal and Chelsea to land a major transfer coup in signing Osimhen from Lille in a £74m deal this summer with the 21-year-old earmarked as a huge talent.

The striker scored 18 goals and recorded 6 assists in 38 games for Lille to emerge the club’s Player of the Season as well as the Best African Player in Ligue 1 for the just concluded 2019/20 season.

Meanwhile, back in June, Osimhen (£57.3m) had a higher transfer value than Ronaldo who was rated at £56m. The Nigerian also had a better value than the likes of Casemiro £56.7m), Raphael Varane (£56.6m), Alvaro Morata
(£47.8m) and Jan 0blak (£47m).

Ola Aina’s Torino will be starting the 2020/2021 Serie A season away to Fiorentina while William Troost-Ekong and his Udinese teammates will be at home to newly-promoted Spezia.

Simy Nwankwo and his Crotone teammates will start the new campaign away to Genoa.
