Arsenal’s exciting young forward Bukayo Saka has been named as the Gunners’ most valuable transfer asset.

This is according to CIES Football Observatory.

Saka has emerged in the past 18 months as one of the most talented prospects in the Premier League, becoming an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s side.

The 19-year-old has played all down the left side during his fledgling career and has recently impressed in an attacking role down the right flank.

His rise to prominence saw Saka rewarded with a new long-term deal earlier this season and he has also made his international breakthrough.

Now the CIES Football Observatory, who have assessed players’ transfer values on a scientific basis – using a formula that takes into account multiple factors including ability, age, contract length and their respective league and team – they have declared Saka to be Arsenal’s standout.

Rated at a value between £103m-£130m (€120m-€150m), they insist that not only is he Arsenal ’s most valuable, but that he equates to 20 percent overall playing assets at the Emirates.

It ranks him sixth overall in Europe’s top five leagues, when assessing the players’ with the highest transfer values at their respective clubs.

He is behind only Manchester United star Marcus Rashford (No.1 overall), Erling Haaland of Dortmund, Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid, fellow English younster Phil Foden of Manchester City and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.

Saka was named in the England squad this week for the Three Lions’ international triple-header.

But after suffering from a hamstring issue of late, Mikel Arteta is keen for his teenage star not to play every game.

He admitted last week he would be speaking to Gareth Southgate about the versatile youngster, to ensure his well-being.

Asked if he feared for Saka’s workload, Arteta said: “Yes, but that’s why we need some really good communication between ourselves and the player and the national team.

“know how important he is for us and for the summer with England, so let’s make the right call and let’s think about the short term but the future as well.”
