Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven: Nigeria’s Falcons Start Title Defence Against  Five Rivals In Lagos

Defending champions, Nigeria’s beach rugby team,  Falcons, will go against five other teams; Gosar RFC, Racing RFC, Kings Rugby Team, Accra Rugby Team, and Cowrie RFC as they aim for ‘Trys’ at the Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven this weekend in Lagos.

The event has not failed in serving up a potpourri of entertainment and sport as the organiser has stepped up all activities needed for an exciting event scheduled for November 25 and 26 to a desirable level.

An interesting weekend awaits rugby enthusiasts and fun lovers when they arrive at the National Institute for Sports and the iconic Landmark Beach.

The venues pack the honour of being the foremost citadel for sports and the first Lagos’ in-city private beachfront known for its splendour and recreational ambiance.

A mini-tournament has also been set aside for the children to learn and enjoy the game on the beach.

Tubosun Johnson, who is the head at Turbo Crest said the Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven will again be adding colour and panache to popularize the sport in Nigeria in a different style.

He said many side attractions have been made available in other to put enthusiasts and fun-seekers alike in the mood for the festive season.

“This edition will be held on November 25 and 26 at the NIS in Surulere and Landmark Beach on Victoria Island, in Lagos. Rugby will once again be the centre of attraction,” Johnson stated.

“However, there will be side attractions like face painting, body arts, bikini contests, and macho-man competitions. There will also be performing artists and many other activities which attendees will enjoy.”

He urged Rugby fans and enthusiasts alike to download and visit the Landmark citizen app to get tickets for the extravaganza or contact the organiser through [email protected] for inquiries.
