Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said the football body were spot on with the appointment of Randy Waldrum as head coach of the Super Falcons.

Sanusi said this after the Falcons were crowned champions at the Turkish Women’s Cup tournament in Antalya.

The Falcons pipped CSKA Moscow women’s team 1-0, recorded the same scoreline against Uzbekistan before thrashing Equatorial Guinea 9-0 to emerge champions.

And Sanusi who last week presented the contract to Waldrum said in a chat with brila.net that the early result is good for the team and one he hopes will continue as the NFF remains committed to the growth of all National teams in Nigeria.

“This is the kind of coaches we need now that our football has gotten clear and other nations are catching up with us in terms of women’s Football.

” I was excited too when I saw the kind of training he was giving and the rest of it. I said yes I believe we have gotten it right especially in the aspect that yes a coach like that will want to do the right thing.”

Thats the kind of Coach the SE need too . Rohr does not radiate such confidence to the players. Therefore I dont see him ever winning anything for Nigerians. Imagine Rohr saying recently in an interview that Nigeria cannot win the world cup because our players aren’t playing in top teams like Bayarn , Manu , chelsea etc. With such mentality Rohr as his mind made up . I expect him to be sack next week. How did Kechi win the nations cup with home as the joker. How did westerhof win the nations cup and built a world class team with largely home base players. How did Bonfren joe win the olympic football goal. Not to mention Greece who won the Europes some yrs back after they came in to replace another team that was disqualified. Football , they say, is not mathematics. You dont need to players in Bayern , manu and the ilks to win. All u need is talent. S.E has enough talented and strenth to win the world cup if handle by a ruthless coach like Waldum. Rohr must go

Hey bruh Rohr was right. You cant win the world cup with players who aren’t playing for some of the best teams in the world. It’s tough though but it’s the truth.
I have reiterated this again on a number of times in this forum.Until our players start playing for the likes of Juventus,Manchester united,Manchester city,Barcelona,Real madrid,Bayern Munich at least we should have eight starters playing for this calibre of teams to have any chance of getting to the finals.Take a look at the Croatian squad to the last world cup a large number of the squad plays for top Italian and Spanish teams.
Rightly,we could get to the later stages of the world cup if we plan well with the boys we have,I would rate them 6 out of 10 which is a good score. With the right tactics team spirit, determination,a semi final spot wont be impossible but in reality a quarter final spot is where teams that have players playing at same level as ours ends unfortunately.Though I might just be too kind

It is high time NFF realize that it doesn’t take too long before you can win a trophy as a coach if you are technically and tactically sound.

You don’t have to be a world class coach before you can win a trophy. The world didn’t know Mr. Westerhof and Mr. Jo Bonfrere before coaching Nigerian team and both men shocked the world.

Mr. Waldrum did a wonderful job and he doesn’t talk too much.

What a quiet man. In fact, I’m highly impressed. Congratulations to the coaching crew and the entire team. God bless Nigeria!!!

I am saving this article on my external hard drive, and all my USB flash drives because I know that the very first match the falcon will draw or loose, these same people singing his praises would be the ones calling for his head. Our people are very sentimental.
