Scotland: Aribo Scores In Rangers’ Home Win Against Livingston

Nigeria midfielder Joe Aribo was on target as Rangers moved six points clear in the Scottish Premiership following a 2-0 win against Livingston, reports Completesports.com.

Aribo put the home team ahead in the ninth minute after he was set up Ianis Hagi.

Hagi dispossessed Efe Ambrose and set up Defoe, whose shot was stopped by the goalkeeper’s legs, but Hagi showed good awareness to square to Aribo, who swept the ball into the empty net.

Jermain Defoe scored Rangers’ second of the game in the 16th minute.

Aribo has now scored two goals in five league appearances for Rangers this season.

The 24-year-old was replaced by Scott Arfield 15 minutes from time.

His international Leon Balogun was unused substitute for Rangers in the game.

Fifa ratings don’t matter to us just bring on the so called higer ranked teams on a competitive day and we will know who is the best…

Great to see Aribo is back again. That will be a big plus for us going into the double header against Sierra-leone. Hopefully Etebo should be baqck too, so that alongside Aribo and Iwobi, the midfield partnership vs Ukraine can be rekindled.

Meanwhile does anybody knows the whereabouts of Henry Onyekuru…? He has not been making Monaco squad for some games now and there I can seem to find reports that he is injured. According to the club’s website only Fodé Ballo-Touré and Aleksandr Golovin are currently nursing injuries. Or is it that Monaco coach already knows his 1st XI too…???

Drey lol, na wa 4 u ooo lol my ribs dey pain me from laffing

    • Greenturf 3 years ago

Onyekuru has lost form and out of favour by his club coach who has kept him away from his squad in recent games.

It’s a shame for a player that showed great promise just a couple of years ago to find himself in this pitiable situation.

You can get more on that news if you visit scorenigeria.com

His club coaches must be “dull and dizzy” like Rohr. How can they be kicking an “x-factor” player like Onyekuru out of their team like that. A player that can ‘give the type of assist that Ahmed Musa cannot give?’….dammit these coaches must be kidding me.
Attitude is everything, your attitude determines your altitude. You left Eupen, your coach did you this and that, you left Anderlecht…coach you this and that….1st coach at Monaco come, he did this and that, 2nd coach come…he doesn’t play you in your “preferred” left wing….national team….the coach already has his starting XI……only God knows the kind of story that will follow this current coach now.
On top dis matter, na sidon look we go dey.

Great come from Aribo. Will wish for Etebo to return soon. Those clamouring for the inclusion of Nwakali to the se roster are making a right claim just saw the match Huesca vs Ro was fantastic even though he just had a cameo. If the guy stays fit and healthy he will be a wonderful inclusion to our team.
May the good Lord bless our team.

The same R.Sco vs Huesca match or another one…? Which fantastic…? Pls how many successful tackles did he make or how many key passes did he give…? He could hardly even run and was out of breath by the 80th minute. Pls let us tone down the hype of these kids. Person wey dem fit count how many times in leg touch ball naim you say e dey fantastic…LMAO..? Wonders never shall end.

Kelechi nwakali has potential… but currently his form is nothing to be proud of. if we’re to make a list of young players to be invited to the midfield he won’t be included in the top 3, with the likes of Frank onyeka, ovie ejaria, Michael olise and alhassan Ibrahim.
for Henry what I can say is may God help him, SE can’t lose another talent like we are currently losing Isaac success.
can someone please talk to Rodgers for me about iheanacho (this guy has always remain my favorite SE player) why the he stay on the bench for the whole minute?!!?
who have heard of Calvin bassey? aribo team mate and also a left back. finally we will have competition down that flank esp for those already describing sanusi as SE version of David alaba!

  • Onyekuru is at galatasaray

I hope Rohr look at Calvin Bassey’s side before the English coaches start telling him something against our wish. That guy is a Talent! He is really translating his footballl lessons at Leicester into consistent display so far. He will surely serve as a competitive backup to Zaidu if invited before Northgate feast on him.

  • Calvin bassey really looks good as a left back, reminds me a bit of Alphonso Davis. He has the strength, skill and a good pass and cross. He isnt too fast but he has good pace. I think he has the talent to play as a centre back or in a back three as well.
He can only get better under gerards tutelage. I hope we can get him in the Super Eagles. He will make our LB position stronger.
