South Africa U-20 team head coach Thabo Senong has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his side’s Group A match against the Flying Eagles of Nigeria at the 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, reports Completesports.com.
The Amajita put up a spirited defensive display to frustrate the Flying Eagles who dominated the game from start to finish.
Goalkeeper Khulekani Kubheka who played his first game in the competition after missing the Amajita’s opener against Niger was particularly in inspiring form as he made a number of key saves to deny the Nigerians.
”We had two objectives which we wanted to achieve going into this Nigeria match,” Senong told reporters after the game at the Seyni Kountche Stadium.
“One was not to concede and the other was to try and produce a goal in this tie. We only managed to achieve one objective because we were playing against a very organized side in defence.

“Scoring goals in any match is a team’s responsibility.
