Serie A club Lazio are exploring a late move for Super Eagles winger Philip Otele ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.
According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, the Italian outfit have made an enquiry about the 27-year-old and are considering a loan deal that would include an option to buy.
Talks are, however, still at an early stage, with no agreement reached between Lazio and Otele’s parent club, FC Basel.
There is also no guarantee that the deal will be completed before the transfer deadline.

Otele spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Bundesliga club Hamburg SV after joining them from Basel in February.
The versatile forward made nine Bundesliga appearances during his stint in Germany, registering one goal and one assist.
He returned to Basel at the end of the campaign after Hamburg opted not to make the move permanent.
Otele is contracted to the Swiss giants until the summer of 2028 after they exercised their option to sign him permanently from UAE side Al Wahda in June 2025.
