Osimhen 7th goal, for me he needs 3 more goals. He scored 13 goals in ligue 1 which ended prematurely. If he gets 10 goals I know he finally adapted to serie a. He started slow but now he is picking up speed. Osimhen is a fast runner, always ahead of the line leading a fast break, reminds me of him playing for lille. He just needs to be assisted. I would love to see him in the champions league again since serie a top 4 is heating up. He was poor in the europa league, scored no goals and the team was poor, but now the team is currently turning the corner, before they were settled at 7th place, but now fluctuating between 3rd and 5th place.

    Great solo goal from VO.
Picked up the loose ball all the way from midfield and tucked it away nicely.
Nice to see the man slowly coming back to his best..but it must be said, he should have scored two, three more if only he was more clinical (if you watched the game, you’d understand better)

Gatuso should talk to his players to pass on time for Osihmen, specially insigh, those italian players are selfish

  • Iheanacho scoring again tonight. He scored the winning goal for Leicester in a tense match. Mehn all their matches from now till the end of the season will be very tense just hope both kele and vardy can stay injury free for the rest of the season.

    • 1 goal to Victor Osimhen. Well done boy. The guy has goals in him. Although he is played as a lone striker in Napoli’s formation, it is clear that he is not the main striker in the team. That title belongs to CAPTAIN INSIGNE! Insigne is a really good player. Fast, skillful, creative, has an eye for goal but some times or most times he is selfish with the ball. He would rather shoot at goal than pass a simple ball to a free teammate to score. He should know that as the captain of team he has as much responsibility to ensure his team succeeds on the pitch.
He should borrow a leaf from jaime vardy who while wasnt scoring goals was busy creating them for his teammates. Now that’s a real leader. Not caring about personal glory but but the well being of the team above selfish pride. I feel Osimhen would have scored a lot more goals if he was receiving the amount of passes from his teammates that players like onuachu, iheanacho, moffi, sadiq are receiving from their teammates in their club.
But its all good, he has been scoring regularly of late. Hopefully, the other players in the team will begin to pass to him more often and the goals will continue to flow freely.

Great write up CS for employ you o. Enjoyed your breakdown like Deo copyright.

  • Insinegh or whatever is the problem here. That guy is 100% selfish not just to victor alone but even to other team mates. He prefers to waste scoring chances than to create one for others to score.

Mumu who wants to be explaining adults jokes for you here. Now internet is available for kids like you to come and be using the f words abi? If na those days whey dem just dey sell paper you go fit look uche face dey yarn dust?

When dey say they’re on drugs like we relate to great team performance like the german machines it means the guys are on fire.

        • This chima guy is disgustingly arrogant FOR NOTHING. And I mean ‘FOR NOTHING’. If you’re clearly a genius, or are rich, grey-haired or extremely beautiful, people may sometimes excuse your ego and pass. But this one, it’s ‘FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING’. Foolish pride. Obnoxiously full of himself. It’s odious. Worse, he doesn’t seems to realise how much it shows and stinks.

This is an anonymous site. He doesn’t see or know anybody, yet is always mentioning ‘kids’ ‘mumu’ ‘internet is available for everybody’ yadayada. Yet, 90% of the time, he makes shallow contributions bereft of any deep analysis and intelligence.

Not that I am claiming to know football as much as some forumites here that I really respect their knowledge of the game. But I know my place and try to stay humble. I share and contribute the little I know. Excuse me, other forumites, I’m diverting. Someone seriously needs to be brought down back to earth.

Guy, how old are you? How many people have you seen their faces or checked their DOBs? And how rich are you? (Psst.. I’ve seen your pix and I was disappointed with all the braggadocio you make here). You were not, even so, smart enough to conceal it.

And if you decide to take me on today, guy be ready cos I will mercilessly decimate you. I will scythe you down like a medieval warrior prince. It will be like Russia versus Ukraine in military warfare. I will be coming back to check if you did. RUBBISH!

        • Guy, you’re incoherent. Rambling. Jibby-jabber. But I managed to pick this line out “Don’t try to feel great by coming at someone further than you.” TYPICAL UMBRAGE.

“Feel great” indeed. He deems himself “great” and “further than you” with zilch knowledge of 90% of people on this platform. What more classic example of inflated ego can you get? Hehehehehe.

Guy, show respect to people. Stop bring condescending. Vices annoy me, but none as much as an overbloated ego when you’re not Agbani Darego, Wole Soyinka or Davido.

Breathe in and out and put forward a more coherent message so I can read and respond appropriately.

On a final note, BE HUMBLE. That’s the whole point of my attack.

Again Idiot you see why I shouldn’t be in convo with tyrants like you, see those you call your greats has nothing to offer to mankind, when you be mentioning names of great philosophers and Analysts creating major changes in mankind that enabled your guardians to survive the world, guys like Nikola Tesla who redesigned the current electric supply system or great Analysts like George Soros who keeps inspiring the young generation to invest and make riches from stocks and etcetera these are guys who have saved generations with decent careers not one of the noise makers Davido you just referenced. You’re a dumbass, I know your kinds street pigs internet con artist that is why your values are Davido and Co people that adds almost no moral or physical value to the well being of a society if we were looking up to people like Davido do you think we will have CEOS today? Your kinds are the reason Nigeria have bad images. Better let the madness of ignorance stop in your generation else you will lead a foolish set of ignorant fools recycling in the county and your bloodline. And if na street noise too there are decent ways of handling idiots like you I bet you. You wanna act like a slum guy always watch who you mess around with kid.

O boy….Kelechi is in the form of his life…the goal, the assist, his link up play…..everything about him today was perfect.

  • JimmyBall 3 years ago

… Congrats to Kelechi Iheanacho. He blasted in the winning goal for Leicester vs Crystal Palace. What a sharpshooter. NFF should do all they Can to continue to make our U-17 cadet team have the best scouting network there can be. It will even be right to leave Manu Garba and Nduka Ugbade to continue to work that grade together and help us throw up well-forged lads wherever the nook they may be all over Nigeria… I pray for peace for the country and togetherness if God deems it fit to will it and if not separation in peace. Insecurity has been the most negative about Nigeria in the last years and where a country will have no peace… how can a good environment be gotten to allow the beautiful game of football continue to thrive all over Nigeria… we pray Nigeria gets healed again because our football is all we really got. Kelechi Iheanacho and not forgetting Ndidi made me so happy today. Tired and spent from work I stayed up late to watch three Nigerians… Ndidi and Kel for Leicester and Eze for Palace. What a game… They all gave a good account of themselves! I am happy that Eze who gave the through pass to Zaha to rattle Leicester early in the game for the first goal will go to bed thinking of what monster in Ndidi and Iheanacho he came up against… hahaha. That young man must sleep on humble thoughts of admiration for his kinsmen tonight. I swear Eberechi Eze will be writing NFF and Nigeria for a switch of nationality after tonight… he was left completely flustered and miffed by what talents his team tested tonight against… Kelechi Iheanacho has the football brain akin to the incisiveness of a Surgical blade… boy is blessed with a rare left foot. Iheanacho is a king… I see him winning African Footballer of the Year, latest in about three (3) years at this rate… believe that folks… JimmyBall says so!!! Ahoy!!!

Nacho is just crazy with his left foot…Nawaoo!

  • Emmanuel 3 years ago

I agree with you @Jimmyball.But what a goal from Kel.Should be the man of the match, one goal one assist. Should have had 2 assist had Verdy be more prudent in front of goal.

  • Michael Adelami 3 years ago

I think currently, our best formation is 3-4-1-2.
    Okoye
    Akpoguma Ekong Balogun
    Aina Aribo Ndidi Sanusi
    Iwobo
    Iheanacho Oshimen.

The above should be our first 11.

    Substitutes are:
    1. Uzoho
    2. Noble
    3. Ebuehi
    4. Awaziem
    5. Collins
    6. Etebo
    7. Olise
    8. Chukwueze
    9. Kalu
    10. Simon
    11. Moffi
    12. Simmy.

If the following switch, we can have:
    1. Ademola
    2. Ovie
    3. Tobias fight for space.

    On my standby are:
    1. Onuachu
    2. Sodiq
    3. Semi
    4. Shehu
    5. Awoniyi

Players whose fortunate could change with more dedication:
    1. Success
    2. Dele-Bashiru
    3. Nwakali.
    4. Iwuala.

Pls can we leave out that inactive Everton’s Iwobi from the first team so that we can possibly have more promising midfielders like Eberechi Eze and Kelechi Nwakali in the Super Eagles’s team.God Bless Nigeria. When we (Nigeria) talk about achieving big things in the game some low minded people come here to say that the players are average just to support Gernot Rohr.Just a lucky German-French coach. Now how come they are producing class art in Europe at the moment. We have no business dropping a single point in the World Cup qualifiers with the quality of players at our disposal. And the coach must find capable replacement for Ndidi as there should be no excuse on that.I’m so expectant from this team and we must at least play in the final of the AFCON final next year.Anything less is disaster.Time is now to shake off our acaic saying of the “Giant of Africa”.We should have a global mindset to fulfill our talent driven(quotient) potential.Just look at talent everywhere my God.Next Super Eagles match please.

  • pompei 3 years ago

Yes, it is true that we have a highly talented squad. But talent alone does not win trophies. If it was only talent that won trophies, Brazil will win all the world cups. Administration is even more important.
NFF have a big role to play if we are to win trophies. An NFF that pays 2019 bonuses in 2021 can’t seriously demand or expect our boys to win trophies. Nacho can perform like this at Leicester because they are not owing him shishi, plus they take care of him if he gets injured, or has any other problem. Leicester can expect Nacho to help them win trophies. They have earned that right. Nigeria? Not so much!
If we want the best from our players, NFF must step up and give these guys a world class platform to deliver. Give them their monies due on time, give them a world class pitch to play on, world class traveling arrangements (not traveling by canoe to play matches). Arrange grade A friendlies for them as often as possible. If we do things like these, the boys will deliver. But if NFF continue to mess themselves up with their incompetence and greed, then we have to continue to manage whatever we see.
With competent administration, these boys can deliver.

Good insightful writeup/observations. ‘A good workman is as good as his tool’ no football team perform at their best without the necessary support. Maleadministration has been the bane of African teams inability to shine at the greatest stage World cup. The European teams will continue to dominate because they have structure and organisation. Talent is never enough without the necessary support to blossom.
