Man United legend Teddy Sheringham has backed Bruno Fernandes to be a genuine contender for the 2027 Ballon d’Or.
Sheringham’s public backing follows Fernandes’ exceptional performances for Manchester United, which recently culminated in him being named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

Fernandes achieved a monumental milestone by breaking the Premier League record for the most assists in a single season, registering 21 assists (alongside 9 goals) to eclipse the previous record of 20 held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
He carried his form directly into the opening weeks of the new season, notably netting a hat-trick and an assist in a 5–2 victory over Ipswich Town.
