Siasia Mother Still In Kidnappers’ Den 13 Days After Abduction

Beauty Siasia, mother of former Nigeria international, Samson Siasia is yet to regain her freedom 13 days after she was abducted by unknown kidnappers, reports Completesports.com reports.

Mrs Siasia was kidnapped at her Odoni family compound in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State by unknown gunmen on Monday, July 15, 2019.

The kidnappers according to close family sources, have already contacted the family through a foreign number, demanding for a huge ransom for the 76-year-old’s release.

Aside from the septuagenarian, a 65-year-old woman, Florence Douanana and her 17-year-old daughter, Selekire Douanana were reported to have been kidnapped on the same day.

The duo are also still in the kidnappers den with their family yet to secure their release.

It is the second time Mrs Siasia would be abducted in the state by kidnappers.

It would be recalled that she spent 13 days in the custody of the kidnappers following her abduction in November 2015.

The family allegedly paid a ransom of N600,000 to secure her release then.

Strange this.I hope the federal government do something quick to stop this pandemonium, civil unrest, insecurities in the country is worrying.
My sympathies to the family of Siasia Its sad experience to go through after the very first one.
I hope government intelligent forces would come to play and help rescue their aged mother and others who found themselves in similar circumstances.
    Sad indeed.

How evil and greedy have humans become? That is the million dollar question.

Please get ypur mum out of this mess of a country. Yes, Nigeria is my fatherland but I can’t deny that it is a big mess.

Your mum has been kidnapped twice! That is the price you pay for being successful and hard working in our nation. The politicians who created this mess have their immeditate family members tucked away in the safety of foreign countries. Why should you allow yours to suffer here?

I am not a tenth as rich or popular like you are, but my mum has beenn taken out of this washed up country. Please, let this be the last ransome you pay. It is better for the old woman to die peacefully in a foreign land than to live in fear in her own home.

May God help us in Nigeria.

    • I almost shed tears while reading your piece. The irony is that the politicians have squads of armed cards, indirectly paid for by the taxpayers, to protect their families. But the down trodden and those who live b the sweats on their brows are exposed to these unconscionable elements. Has the woman committed any crime by teaching her son hard work and honesty? This same Siasia has brought smiles on the face of Nigerians as a soccer player. And I’m pretty sure even criminals enjoy a good soccer game. Can’t they consider this and release the poor lady? Has she become an economic commodity?

Another depressing thing to consider is her medical care. Which elderly person does not take medication for one ailment or the other? Has she got her medication bag with her?

What a shame for a “religious” nation!

Achi, water dey commot small small for my own eyes too. It is indeed heartbreaking what our leaders are doing to us!

    • Divinewealth 5 years ago

God Bless You my brother @ Bomboy, For doing that for your family, I Wish I can do the same to mine. may God deliver those abducted ones from the hands of the evil Nigerian Kidnappers. Amen

    • Pompei 5 years ago

      Well said, Bomboy. Well said!

  • You have spoken well my brother.

  • I’m sure people like Samuel Kalu and Mikel Obi who have suffered same fate recently have shipped their immediate family members out now. I expect other top SE players to do same, and Siasia not in the least.

So what is the definition of a FAILED STATE/COUNTRY again? What other proofs? Which sector is there an hallelujah? I don’t believe in this generation of Nigerian leaders (PDP or APC or whatever). Salvation is in the hands of another generation entirely.

  • For the umpteenth time, we, the football community of Nigeria (at home and abroad) are reading about the kidnapping of a member of the family of a famous football personality.

Before it was Mikel Obi’ father , now it is Siasia’s mother. Other notable victims have included: Samuel Kalu and Christian Obodo (himself being the actual victim).

Nigeria (my country) is plagued with a lot of criminal activities.

However, kidnapping in particular has now become the most ubiquitous and unmanageable crime that our ill-equipped, understaffed and poorly motivated security forces have to deal with.

Kidnappers target anyone from individuals to groups; old, young or i elderly so long as the kidnappers believe they can extract money from the victims’ loved ones.

From school children to obscure (but well-to-do) people, to celebrities, no one is spared, no one is safe.

I read on a platform claiming that Nigeria has one of the world’s highest rates of kidnap-for-ransom cases. Other countries high up on the list included Venezuela, Mexico, Yemen, Syria, the Philippines, Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia (see the kind of company that our country is keeping).

Our government will say they are doing something: our police force actually have a special Anti-kidnapping unit set up to address this menace but I think they lack the full array of resources to do a good job. We can see that despite this initiative, the number of kidnappings have not abated.

People have killed; permanent psychological hurt have been caused; and a lot of money has been lost to kidnappers.

I wish the safe return of Siasia’s mum and I hope his family can heal permanently from this episode.

This is now the time for our government to do more. This kidnapping epidemic has to stop.

The security forces have to be equipped to do their job while there has to be maximum punishment for kidnappers.

If we can’t feel safe in our own country, where should we feel safe?

This is their next level. This is what their next level brings to Nigeria.
Nigeria is only a country you will see their president that older than the Country. That says a lot.

Next level of poverty, bad leadership, no security and Mr. Siasia served his Country to the highest level and this is what they will paid him in returns?

Nigeria is great Country but our leaders are the main problem of our Country.

So therefore, Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. They voted the man in by collecting money, rice and clothes. Some people even collected Gari and Kulikuli with Sugar which they believed he will do something spectacular but forgetting that our system is completely corrupted.

There’s nothing working in that country for now. Even our football is nothing to write home about. The team has not pattern. No mission. These politicians have spoiled everything finish.

May God help you find you mom Mr. Siasia. It’s all about money.

Nigerians needs a young, bold and vibrant person like Sowore “AAC” Africa Action Congress Party to take Nigeria back from this bad people.

I am not campaigning for Sowore because I’m not a politician but if we want a new Nigeria and we want to put an end to corruption, insecurity and no electricity and infrastructure, the man is ready to take Nigeria back.

This is what we get when we see the truth and we refuse to say it. It’s happening on this forum. If you know you know o. God bless Nigeria!!!

Take it back! Omo9ja you self know that guy lol he’s a Gem but naija will never let the good win.

  • Chima E Samuels 5 years ago

Nigeria as a country has lost its love for mankind long ago even this said politicians are behind all this drama just to stain the present already failed system as an opposition based on propaganda.

The applies to everything happening in the country and even outside naija Nigerians are hired to play foul tool. The country name is blacklisted far and beyond and the change is only on we the masses if we are ready to change mindset and face realism by taking on this so called head of states of which I see as darkness in high places.

Next level of calamity, that country is just a waste of space.when we talk am some people would be calling us names. This cow government has nothing to offer, Buhari and his Fulani barbarian brothers only interested in land grabbing and enslavement typical Fulani thinking. Bloody revolution is the only way out of this mess.

We keep saying Nigeria is this,Nigeria is that….. This is an holier than thou way of thinking. Nigeria is a place n nigerians make Nigeria. WE NIGERIANS HAVE A SICK, GOD FORSAKEN MENTALLITY SKEWED TOWARDS WICKEDNESS. THIS OUR SHOW OFF ATTITUDE IS WHAT IS DRIVING THESE CRIMINAL TENDENCIES. GO TO UK,US, SA N MANY OTHER PLACES IN THE WORLD, NIGERIANS ARE POLLUTING THESE PLACES WITH STUDID QUEST FOR MONEY JUST SO THEY CAN BE CALLED “BIG BOY, HE DON ARRIVE, CHAIRMAN,BOSS, BABAMI,” IDIOTS, BUNCH OF IDIOTS DESIRING TO BE ADDRESSED WITH RESPECT COS OF THE FILTH THEY CALL MONEY….A PEOPLE, WHOSE SHOW OF REGARD IS ONLY BASED ON MONEY, IRRESPECTIVE OF SOURCE. DISGUSTING MENTALITY. When people say poverty in d land is d course, I will ask why we are not having such criminals in many other much poorer countries even with worse government. It is our SICK, DISGUSTING SMALL MAN’S MENTALITY n nothing else. Reason I m always having issues with nigerians with this mentality, for I always tell such to bury their empty head in a big pot of shit, for that is just how I rate them.

  • Sunnyb 5 years ago

Bro, u guys can continue to sugarcoat Nigeria situation I don’t care. The jungle called Nigeria is just a waste of space.A country where some educated illiterates teamed up with some smelly Almajeris  to   elect killer herdsmen to rule them. Folks trust me bloody revolution is the only way out. Very soon the center would collapse and things would eventually fall apart anyway.State and community policing could have prevented many of this  security challenges, but the Fulani Muslims would never allow state police, trust me folks we know why.

    • Glory 5 years ago

Definitely @ Sunny b,there is big big revolution on d way but definitely not with the present brainless n disgusting small man mentality we nigerians are known for. This is d mentality that will always accommodate a traitor to any planned revolution now, thus leading to wasting innocent lives while situation returns to same. Kanu had good intentions but this mentality amongst so called supporters worked against his plans n we are still where we are. Mind you loads of innocent died n it just seems for nothing. This mentality is what is producing the kind of government we keep having. Now I understand why God said in the Bible that He will give to the people a leader that befits them. Until we change our consciousness, value system n mentality, we will be chasing shadows regarding having the government of our dream.

That’s right majority are low thinkers that’s why they’ll swear in the picture of their reflection. How i wish i was American born this passport hurts sometimes when you get to the immigration stand the initial smile changes hand immidiately they see your passport, you self will know that they think you’re a criminal.

Just last month we hear of Ghana deporting Nigerians because of kidnap cases. Haba common Ghana uhmm!

  • Sunnyb 5 years ago

@Glory, you are right bro, All traitors in the south must be detoxify first before we can achieve our objectives in the south.Im from the West we have the lists of all the  Omo ales in our midst, trust me guys we coming for them and their useless families. Imagine the insults  Fulani Vigilantes today Ruga tomorrow, just to grab ppls lands and enslave them. Hausa became their subjects today because of traitors and appeasers that were  allowed by their forefathers.Tinubu and his gangs are laughing now, let’s see how long it lasts.

    • Ayphillydegreat 5 years ago

Ok you’re from the West. Which means ỌMỌ ILẸ KAARỌ OOJIIRÉÉÉ? But you have a problem with Tinubu. Please tell me what has Tinubu done wrong??? Of course he might have a skeleton in the cupboard, but he’s done his part for a better Nigeria. Tell me which tribe in Nigeria is not a legitimate ỌMỌ ALÉ?

  • Sunnyb 5 years ago

He’s has done his part u said bro,by knowingly mortgaging the future of Yoruba to the Fulanis for his unrealistic ambition. It’s obvious the guy is not a student of history, I wish Afonja and Abiola were alive today. if you guys thinks the Fulanis are playing about land grabbing and conquest you guys should ask them in Central African Republic.Again we have the lists let them continue.

    • Ayphillydegreat 5 years ago

Dude you’re just wasting your time agonizing about the problem of the Yorubas. YORUBA RONU!!! It’s been that way since the days of Akintola and Awolọwọ. What am I even saying it’s been that way since the days of the Kosọkọs, the Adele’s, Eletus that deliberately sold most of their own people to slavery during the slave trade era. Even Tinubu ancestors did the same. I’m a bonafide islander so I can tell you a thing or two about our people. Though my family originates from Niger Delta, but if you’re a student of history you’ll understand what I’m saying.

Despite the knowhow of the Yorubas with their high profile education what did most our previous leaders ever did to the western region with the exception of Chief Ọbafẹmi Awolọwọ. The likes of Ọmọlolu Olunlọyọ, Lamidi Adedibu in the past what development did they ever bring to the western region????

The Igbo’s are the only ones that know how to get the best out of Nigeria because they’re smarter. They understand Nigeria’s problem and exploited it. They have every right to do so and I stand to be corrected. As for the Hausas they’re born to rule because the British had almost sold Nigeria to them due to their land mass. Therefore, Yorubas have no choice than to fight back which is not going to be easy because even the most talented in diaspora are scared to go back home in the first place. So what are we missing here???
