The 27-year-old took the place of Harrison Reed on 62nd minutes.

Silva, who brought the versatile midfielder to Everton during his reign at the Goodison Park is confident the player will flourish at his new club.

“Nice to see Timothy impress out of his natural position, even if he can play left or right. He can play both sides so well and he’s a great addition for us, definitely,” Silva told the club’s official website.

“Nice to see Alex come in and get his first minutes. They are going to improve for sure, the way we play is going to make them better players for sure. We’re really happy to have them.”
