Simon Delighted To Make Winning Debut With FC Nantes

Nigeria winger Moses Simon is thrilled to score on his debut for French Ligue 1 club, FC Nantes, reports Completesports.com.

Simon netted the winning goal in Nantes’ 2-1 away win against Amiens SC on Saturday.

The 25-year-old replaced Abdoul Kaer Bamba in the 73rd minute and netted the winner six minutes from time.

Simon could have bagged a brace if his header later in the game hadn’t come off the crossbar.

“ThankGod for everything🙏…..I m so excited to put on the shirt of @fcnantes for the first time thanks to everyone for your support we will keep working hard+3 #alleznantes🔰💪,”reads a tweet on his Twitter handle.

FC Nantes are currently in ninth position in the 20-team French Ligue 1, on four points after three games.

The Gourcuff’s team will host Montpellier in their next Ligue one game on Sunday August 31.

Good for a new starter in a new league
    More of that Moses.

  • I am seriously praying for Moses Simon to rediscover the form that made the toast of Trencin and Gent.

So far, the signs are good.

The Super Eagles have the potentials to achieve great(er) things in the next 3 seasons and I see Moses Simon playing in a huge role in this ‘project’.

He is gradually becoming one of the more experienced members of the squad; his application will prove to be pivotal in propelling the Super Eagles to the next level.

The goal is scored over the weekend, on his debut, was made to look easier than it actually was.

Going to the blind spot of the defender to anticipate, time and then latch on to a through ball before calmly placing it behind a well placed goalkeeper was masterclass.
