Simon Sets Up Nantes’ Goal In Home Defeat To Reims

Moses Simon provided the assist for Nantes’ goal in their 2-1 home loss to Reims, in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.

It was Simon’s first assist in four games in the French topflight this season.

Also, it was Nantes’ first defeat this season after winning two and drawing one of their opening three fixtures.

The Super Eagles forward laid the pass for teammate Douglas Augusto to give Nantes the lead in the 28th minute.

Reims equalised through Marshall Munetsi in the 34th minute before Keito Nakamura got the winner in the 91st minute.

With the defeat, Nantes are fourth on seven points while Reims are sixth also on seven points.

Simon was in action for the Super Eagles during the international break as he also bagged an assist against Benin Republic in Uyo.

The winger, who came on in the second half, sent in a delightful cross for Ademola Lookman to grab his brace and make it 3-0 to the Eagles.
