Slavia Prague have announced that Igoh Ogbu has successfully undergone surgery following an injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria, Completesports.com reports.
The defender ruptured his Achilles tendon during a training session ahead of the Super Eagles’ international friendly against Portugal.
Ogbu featured in Nigeria’s two Unity Cup fixtures against Zimbabwe and Jamaica.
The 26-year-old also started the Super Eagles’ 2-2 friendly draw with Poland but was replaced at half-time by Semi Ajayi.

Ogbu Ruled Out For Three Months
Slavia Prague confirmed that Ogbu will be out for around three months.
“During the international break, Igoh Ogbu ruptured his Achilles tendon. In recent days, he underwent surgery at the Central Military Hospital in Střešovice, and the operation was successful,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“The Slavia defender will be out of training for approximately three months.
Get well soon, you’ll come back stronger, Igy.”

Aina is angry with NFF because they abandoned him when he got injured on international duty.
I bet with elections in 3 months, Ogbu will literally be abandoned by the same NFF.
Now, I understand why many players play largely touch me not games when they come for international games.
