Please can any1 tell me what dat goalie was doing in d wilderness to allow SA to score. What is Alabi doing on this team other than quota system. Is he better than Ibrahim? I knew whenever our players and coaches boast about winning a tournament when they’ve not qualified for the final always turns out badly. Take d game one game at a time. Respect ur opposition but come with a game plan. The #7 &9 are SA best players, the strategy was to bring dem on when our defenders are tired and can then use dia pace and trickery to undo our defense. This game is a winnable game but d boys need to stop falling and making poor decisions. There are many times d short pass is available but our players elect to go for long balls creating opportunities for interception. The squad needs serious reinforcement.
Loss of Goal Keeper, Ebenezer Harcourt cost Nigeria u20 this Semi- final loss. The Nigerian team was head and shoulders better than the South Africans but we’re thrown off their rhythm by the cheap goal conceded by the replacement goal keeper, Yakub. The FE were very unlucky today, not to get a goal or more from all the chances they created. Anyway congrats for atleast qualifying for the U20 World Cup later this year.
It’s frustrating seeing this set of flying eagles do everything right only to get confused in the final third.Had this game continued for another week, these boys will not find the back of the net. When they shoot you’ll mistake it for a back pass.
Apparently, the first choice goalkeeper’s absence condemned the team to defeat.
If you can’t score a goal then you aren’t good enough.
These boys are toothless they can’t shoot, they can’t create chances!
The last time we won this tournament was ten years ago.
I tip Morocco to win the tournament.
I wasn’t impressed by South Africa’s performance today. Our substitute goalkeeper gifted them the undeserving victory.Had we had Harcourt still on,we wouldn’t concede that unnecessary goal.
Nigeria teams now find it difficult to score goals because our coaches lack the necessary ingredients in tactic and strategy that produce goals . A very good team but lacks creativity and goal scorers
I have told you before today that this team isn’t it, but you all can see now.
This team can be the best to represent Nigeria. It is far from it kę.
No wonder Nigeria as a country is not there yet. We don’t do things on merit and here is the result.
If the gaffer assembled a good team, there was no reason Nigeria wouldn’t have beaten South Africa at 4:0 in today’s match. Still, corruption has eaten deep into every corner of Nigeria’s affairs kę.
I hope the coach and the NFF are satisfied now ba?
Ha, Biya. If the team go to the World Cup the way it is, I don’t think the boys can win a single match.
I don’t think this team deserves a World Cup ticket, in my own opinion.
I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw underserved players at the Four Nations tournament later this month.
This is a rare opportunity for us to try other unused players in the Super Eagles team and use this tournament to strengthen the Super Eagles, but again, NFF do not care if we make it to the World Cup as long as the brown envelopes are flying around, they are satisfied. What a shame.
So sad seeing my country in this situation and I can not help. Hmm. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
They are supposed to win this game easily
They control the game all through but they don’t just know how to create and convert their chances..
One thing is that their ball recovery was super, back line very good but they lack this small consciousness at the final third , thesame aggressiveness from the midfield they seems to carry on with this tempo into the final third very hectic
Smh effortless…just a bit of calmness…

Calamity goalkeeper
When you don’t have a proper number 9, your team struggles for goals.
And when a second-choice goalkeeper mans the post, you soon see why he was benched.

Are the criteria for selection gidigbo and gragra? What about shots, control, passes etc?
This number 9 is not rugged. The coach better recruit new strikers. And that goalkeeper’s jitters cost the game.
Why rush out?
