Southampton manager Russell Martin says Paul Onuachu is now a different player, reports Complesports.com.
Onuachu joined the Saints from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk in January 2023.
The 30-year-old failed to register a single goal in 11 league appearances for the Premier League club.
The forward spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Turkish Super Lig outfit, Trabzonspor.
Onuachu has however returned to Southampton for pre-season.

Martin heaped plaudits on the striker for his impressive display in training.
“I just think he’s different to what we have. He’s trained really, really well,” he told Daily Echo.
“He’s a different Paul to the one I came across last season in terms of confidence. I think the last pre-season was so difficult for so many of them.
“They hadn’t had a chance in the Premier League or they’d come in January and not really taken to it that well.
“This summer he’s a different beast and whilst he’s here, same as Kyle Walker-Peters, we will try and utilise him.”

It’s hope that Paul Onuachu would be able to reinvent himself in EPL this season with the Saints after his remarkable performance last season with Trabzonspor. It sure won’t be an easy task.
