Southampton Looking To Move On Striker

Southampton are reportedly happy to allow striker Charlie Austin to depart this month if they receive a strong offer. The frontman joined Southampton for a reported £4million in January 2016 after impressing during his time with Queens Park Rangers.

Injuries have prevented the 29-year-old from kicking on at St Mary’s and he has netted just 16 goals in 62 Premier League appearances.

Austin has scored three times in 18 outings this season, but with just two league appearances under Ralph Hasenhuttl, his future on the south coast looks bleak.

Reports claim Southampton have made the former Burnley man available for transfer ahead of Thursday’s deadline and Premier League rivals Wolves are being linked with a potential swoop.
