Sporting Lagos are the new champions of the Nigeria National League Super 4 after a thrilling final day in Ikenne saw the title race decided on goal difference.
Despite losing 1-0 to city rivals Inter Lagos on Friday, Sporting Lagos still finished top after both sides ended level on points.
The Super 4 finale delivered plenty of drama, with Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos and Doma United all still in contention before kick-off.
Ranchers Bees, who lost their first two matches, were already out of the title race but finished strongly with a 3-1 win over Doma United.
Sporting Lagos’ triumph also came with major financial rewards under betPawa’s Locker Room Bonus initiative.
The champions received over ₦2 million after the tournament as part of a special Super 4 payout that covered the full 30-man squad and officials.
During the regular season, Sporting Lagos earned ₦16,688,000 — the highest total among the Super 4 teams — taking their overall earnings from the initiative to more than ₦18 million.
Inter Lagos and Doma United each earned ₦11,592,000 during the season, while Ranchers Bees pocketed ₦9,016,000.
The Locker Room Bonus initiative paid players and officials ₦56,000 after every win throughout the season and became one of the biggest stories in the NNL campaign.
In total, ₦287,168,000 was paid out across the league through 5,128 completed transactions.
The season also produced strong attacking football, with 254 of the 272 matches recording at least one goal.
Courtesy betPawa, several individual and club awards were presented after the Super 4.
Sporting Lagos striker Aliyu Baba won the Highest Goalscorer award, while Paul Offor was named Best Coach.
Dele Aiyenugba claimed the Best Goalkeeper award, while Yahaya Hussaini emerged Most Valuable Player.
betPawa’s Head of Local Marketing and CSR, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, said the initiative was designed to directly impact players and clubs.

The 2025/26 season is expected to be remembered as one of the most competitive in recent NNL history, with the Super 4 finale providing a fitting conclusion.
