Sports Minister Condemns Traumatic Treatment of Super Falcons At Abuja Airport; NFF Steps In

The Sports Minister Sunday Dare has strongly condemned the unpleasant treatment of the national women senior football team, the Super Falcons on their return to the country from Cote’d Ivoire early Thursday morning.

The Falcons returned to Abuja from Abidjan, Cote’d Ivoire on Thursday, where, just a few hours earlier, they picked a priceless ticket to the African Women Cup of Nations tournament to be hosted in Morocco in July.

In widely circulated videos trending on social media, the footballers and their officials were seen going through difficult times at the airport, delayed for about three to four hours owing to Covid 19 protocols and later the locking up of all terminal exit doors for a totally different reason.

One of the players, Uchenna Kalu was seen lying on the floor, in pain and dire need of medical attention.

Dare, clearly disappointed with the incident, said a complete account of what happened has been received by his office and the Ministry will send it to the National Centre of Disease Control(NCDC) and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure that our footballers, sports men and women are treated fairly and respectfully.

The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) will meet with the relevant authorities to review and ensure that this type of situation does not happen again.

This ‘puta madre’ of a sports minister now speaks after the fact – when our heroines have been humiliated.
This ‘hijo de puta’ will poke his nose in the NFF affairs but when it comes to matters that fall under his remit, he will be MIA. Remember our female basketballers and how he treated them? Now its our Super Falcons.

Why does he treat our beautiful Nigerian women so much?

You people should be ashamed of yourselves. You leaders have turning Nigeria into garbage. You leaders are making us believe that Nigeria can not be better again.

How would you feel if our ladies were treated this way in Ivory Coast NFF/Spots minister? Nigerians treated their female national team badly in Nigeria. How does that sound?

As said before, we will make sure will kick you all leaders out soon. Wether you leaders like it or not, we are taking Nigeria back from you soon. May God crown all our efforts. That will start from 2023. Just watch out our leaders/rulers. Nigerians are coming for you all. So sad that our ladies went through all that. Shio. What a shame. Hmm. God bless Nigeria!!!

Most of these worthless officials are mallams or boko haram repentants, these smelly animals still sees women as an objects imagining treating ur heroines like criminals.

@Sunnyb, if they had their way, we wouldn’t be participating in women competitions. Or at best, they would require the ladies to wear trousers and cover the heir hair!

@Bombiy, bro u are right, staring a country with barbarians is our biggest problem in Nigeria.I’m sure these animals will try and molest some of those girls. They’re upset because the girls are not on pudda or hijab

The officials at the airport don’t care about Nigeria, or whether you’re a Super Falcon or Super Eagle if you don’t dash them something.
