Tottenham are planning a £40million move for Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Italian reports. Zaniolo only joined the Giallorossi last summer as part of the deal that saw Radja Nainggolan leave the Italian capital for Inter Milan but he could be on the move again.
The 19-year-old failed to make a senior appearance during his time with Inter but established himself as a regular for Roma last season, managing six goals in 36 appearances in all competitions. Zaniolo also forced his way into the Italy side and made his Azzurri debut in March.

Roma are keen to keep hold of Zaniolo but after failing to secure Champions League football for next season they may be forced into a sale. Italian champions Juventus have been heavily linked with the attacking midfielder but Tuttosport claims Spurs are ready to make a 45million euros [£40m] move. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino may view Zaniolo as an ideal replacement for Christian Eriksen, who is widely expected to depart the club this summer.
