Nigeria’s Super Eagles dropped two places from 40th to 42nd in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola world ranking, completesports.com reports.
The latest ranking was published on FIFA’s website on Thursday, 30 November, 2023.
The drop in places may not come as a surprise following the Super Eagles’ disappointing showing in their two opening fixtures in Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On matchday one against Lesotho, the Eagles forced the visitors to a 1-1 draw in Uyo.
While against Zimbabwe, Jose Peseiro’s men had to come from behind again to settle for another 1-1 draw.
After the opening two games, the three-time Africans champions are third behind leaders Rwanda and second placed South Africa.
In Africa, the Eagles maintained their sixth position.

As expected, No surprises.
Blame it on JOSÉ PESEIRO
GREAT players (individually); WRONG Manager
I was expecting them to be number 100
with peseiro super eagles will continue to dwindle, how many nigerian local league players has he integrated into the team, nigerians should thank God that they are not presently ranked 155th in fifa ranking because that is what peseiro has metamorphose the team to.
