African champions Nigeria’s Super Falcons have commenced preparations for their upcoming international friendly matches against Senegal, Completesports.com reports.
Head coach Justine Madugu has named a 23-player squad for the double-header, with players expected to begin arriving at camp on Monday (today) , according to the team’s media officer.
Super Falcons Set For Ikenne Bow
Both fixtures will be held at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne.
The first match is scheduled for Friday, June 5, while the second encounter will take place on Monday, June 8.
The friendlies form part of the two teams’ build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be hosted by Morocco in July.

WAFCON 2026 Preparations In Top Gear
Nine-time African champions Nigeria have been drawn in Group C alongside Zambia, Egypt, and tournament debutants Malawi.
Senegal, meanwhile, will compete in Group A, where they will face hosts Morocco, Algeria, and Kenya.
The 2026 WAFCON finals will also serve as Africa’s qualification tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the four semi-finalists securing automatic qualification for the global showpiece.
Brazil will host the tenth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup from 24 June to 25 July 2027.
The Super Falcons are the only African team to have qualified for every edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup since the tournament began in 1991.
