The friendly match between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and the Black Queens of Ghana has been called off.
This was disclosed on the X handle of the Super Falcons.
In a statement on the Super Falcons handle the game, which was billed for Saturday, 8 July in Casablanca, was called off due to unforeseen circumstances.
The friendly was lined up as part of preparation for both teams ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The tournament, which will run from 26 July to 16 August, also doubled as the African qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The top four teams will qualify for the World Cup, and two more teams will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs.
Defending champions Super Falcons are in Group C alongside Zambia, Egypt and Malawi, while Ghana are in Group D with Cape Verde, Cameroon and Mali.
Justin Madugu’s side will kickoff the defence of their title on July 28 against Malawi before facing Zambia on August 1.
Then on August 5, the Suoer Falcon will round off the group phase when they will take on Egypt.
