Paul Onuachu ended his goal drought by bagging a brace in Trabzonspor’s 5-0 home win against Genclerbirligi, in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, completesports.com reports.
Going into Sunday’s game, Onuachu had failed to score in his last five fixtures in all competitions for Trabzonspor.
Onuachu gave Trabzonspor the lead in the fifth minute as he leapt to head home a cross from Aral Şimşir’s.
The Nigerian international got his second goal on 22 minutes to make it 3-0 from a close range finish off a cross.
However, Onuachu had to go off in the 44th minute after getting injured.
Also in action was Chibuike Nwaiwu, who was in the starting lineup before he was replaced with seven minutes left.

Former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot to put his side 2-0 up in the 14th minute and had an assist for the fourth goal on 59 minutes.
With 12 minutes remaining Franculino Dju completed the rout by adding the fifth goal.
Injury Worry For Super Eagles Ahead AFCON 2027 Qualifiers
Onuachu’s injury comes at a sensitive time for the Super Eagles as they begin their 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign.
The Super Eagles will take on Madagascar on September 23 then on September 27 they will be guests to Guinea-Bissau.
Victor Osimhen also picked up a recent injury (advanced-moderate right adductor/groin strain with some bleeding) during a 3-2 win over İstanbul Başakşehir and is expected to miss around two to three weeks.
