A supercomputer has predicted that Liverpool will dethrone Manchester City as Premier League champions in the 2022/23 season, the Mirror reports.
Liverpool finished second behind City by one point last season, with Pep Guardiola’s men finishing top of the division for the fourth time under his reign.
And ahead of next season, the Reds have acquired the services of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
On their part, City have further strengthened with the acquisition of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips is also set to arrive at the Etihad Stadium after City agreed a fee on Friday.

Despite those additions, a Mirror Football supercomputer has given Guardiola’s men just a 24 per cent chance of retaining their title. Instead, it believes that Liverpool are the overwhelming favourites to become champions.
The supercomputer puts Klopp’s chances of getting his hands back on the trophy at 71 per cent. Both City and Liverpool are rated as having a 100 per cent chance of finishing in the Champions League qualification places.
The side with the next highest chance of finishing in the top four is said to be Arsenal. Mikel Arteta has seen Alexandre Lacazette leave, but has brought in Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos, with Gabriel Jesus expected to follow that duo through the welcome door in the coming days.
The Gunners have a 59 per cent chance of making it back into the Champions League, with fierce rivals Tottenham only rated as having a 49 per cent chance of joining them. Spurs have brought in Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster to boost Antonio Conte’s squad, with more signings expected.
Amid their slow start in the transfer market, Chelsea are rated as having just a 39 per cent chance of making it into the top four. Manchester United’s chances are even worse, with Erik ten Hag’s first campaign predicted to be a dismal failure.
Having finished only sixth last season, the Red Devils have only a 15 per cent chance of returning to the top four. At the other end of the table, there is expected to be little hope for the newly-promoted teams Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Bournemouth.
All three are predicted to be relegated, with Nottingham Forest having just a 33 per cent chance of staying up in the upcoming season. Bournemouth are also among the favourites to go down, with the Cherries having only a 35 per cent chance of retaining their Premier League status.
Fulham won the Championship in swashbuckling style last season, but have a 63 per cent chance of going straight back down. Everton and Southampton are also expected to once again struggle, with the Toffees having a 21 per cent chance of relegation and the Saints having a 39 per cent chance of going down.
Like Frank Lampard’s side, Wolves also have a 21 per cent chance of going down, with Bruno Lage’s side having struggled for goals last season. Lampard will hope that he can rebuild his side with enough quality to avoid being sucked into danger.
