Vincent Aboubakar was the hero as he scored the only goal which earned Cameroon a hard fought 1-0 win against Brazil in their final group game at the Qatar 2022 World Cup on Friday.
Aboubakar headed in a superb cross from the right past a stranded Ederson in stoppage time to secure Cameroon’s win.
However Aboubakar, who had earlier received a yellow card, got his matching orders for removing his shirt.
Following his dismissal, Aboubakar is now the first player to score and be sent off in a World Cup match since Zinedine Zidane in the 2006 final vs Italy.
Despite the win it was not enough to see them Cameroon qualify for the round of 16 as they crashed out alongside Serbia while Brazil and Switzerland progressed.
Also, it is the first time that Brazil will lose to an African team at the FIFA senior men’s World Cup.
Going into Friday’s clash, Brazil had won all the seven encounters at the World Cup against African teams.

Congratulations to Cameroon for winning yesterday match but Cameroon need to up their game and scout for new talents.
Brazil presented their Team B yesterday just because they have knockout stage match on Monday and they have to rest their Team A.
Africa team need to learn a lot from this ongoing World Cup.

Take nothing away from the Cameroonian, they play a serious game, attributing Brazilian lost to the fact they play team B is unfair, those players the Brazilian parade would still walk into many teams first 11 if not all team, they all first team players for there clubs and they all play for big teams in Europe, plus remember the so call first team players play in the second half.
