TOGETHER AS ONE! –By Mumini Alao

Dear Nigerian sports fans
I have great pleasure to write you this short memo.

Thirty-five years after SPORTS SOUVENIR, the FIRST EVER all-sport publication in Nigeria was placed in the hands of Nigerian sports lovers, the partnership between the publishers and the readers is set for a digital revolution.

Following Sports Souvenir’s historic debut in 1984, Complete Communications Limited has also presented to the Nigerian sports fraternity many other FIRSTS. These include COMPLETE FOOTBALL, the first all-soccer magazine in Nigeria; COMPLETE FOOTBALL INTERNATIONAL, Nigeria’s first all-colour international football magazine with a French version; COMPLETE FOOTBALL EXTRA, Nigeria’s first all-soccer weekly; INTERNATIONAL SOCCER REVIEW, Nigeria’s first with exclusive international football coverage; COMPLETE SPORTS, Nigeria’s Number One all-sports daily newspaper; Nigeriansportsonline.com, the first all-sport website and Completesports.com, now the rave of the moment.

While churning out these publications both offline and online, we set the standard for sports journalism in Nigeria with our unparalleled coverage of events and exclusive reports from all parts of the world. In the process, we formed an enduring alliance with our millions of sports-loving readers, young and old. It is that huge community of sports fans and readers which we have nurtured for three and a half decades that will come TOGETHER AS ONE beginning from Saturday, 1st of June, 2019.

Sports fans, this memo is only a teaser to alert you to what is coming your way beginning from June the 1st. Personally, I am quite excited to reconnect and continue the conversation with our millions of readers on a brand new platform online, as we exploit digital media to bring TOGETHER AS ONE Nigerian sports fans at home and abroad.

It’s going to be BIG, it’s going to be FUN and it’s going to be ONLINE. Get ready to come on board.

I’m yours in sport

MUMINI ALAO.

Thank you very much Mr. Mumini Alao and the entire team of CSN. I appreciate you all.

Keep it up CSN. Also, edit button is needed badly on this platform. I have been saying this for a decade but no improvement.

This time around, I hope this can be accomplished. I know, Mr. Mumini can get this done for us because, You are a kind of person who really cares about his own people. Thank you CSN for taking Nigeria sports to the next level. God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Thank you Patriarch of the soccertalk… Thank you completesports… Thank you Sports Souvenir… Thank you Complete Football… Thank you COMPLETE COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED CCL… for your impart/impact in my life since 1998 when i became an ardent reader, buyer and follower of your publications… Respect also To Elder Sunny Ojeagbase, The Great Mathematical Segun Odegbami(the sports minister we never Had) and so many others pls forgive me as i cant do a proper roll call now …but it’s been a veritable, and fun-filled 21 years with you guys

  • Thumbs up, Complete Sports. Your competitors have never really been able to hit the mark as you did. And of all your publications, Complete Sports has by far been the most widely accepted and successful. I always enjoyed Mumini Alao’s weekly column in the hard copy back then until your online platform diverted attention and traffic. In fact, I liked Oga Mumini and enjoyed his pieces more when I discovered he’s a Kopite like me.

Like the rest of the forumites have said above, please consider an upgrade of this site and include functions that allow for more interactiveness and better user experience, such as likes and dislikes button, editing ability and emojis. Perhaps that’s what your BIG SURPRISE is all about.

    Thank you Oga Mumuni.
One thing I have noticed is that recently, there has been mistakes and avoidable errors in articles leading to some misguided readers to respond by insulting or criticising the journalist in a heavy handed manner.
Journalism is hard work however the contents are then provided online free of charge. People should bear this in mind.
What I will suggest is for CSN to have a donate button where readers can voluntarily make donations via PayPal for example for the contents that they read.
This way, there will be a basis for their criticisms if they contribute to the quality of the articles with their donations.

  • Kudos to our sports guru for your indepth knowledge in the world of sports. I have been following your dailies and no doubt I have enjoyed every minutes of reading. More grease to your elbow and your management team. Keep the flag flying and continue the good work. Congratulations sir.
