Brighton and Hove Albion, a modest Premier League club, have stunned the football world by emerging as the highest spenders of the 2024 summer transfer window, with an eye-popping net outlay of €182.91m.
Contrary to expectations, Chelsea did not make the top ten list of net spenders. Instead, Brighton led the charge, as per data from SafeBettingSites.com, spending more than any other club across global leagues.
In net spending terms (money spent on incoming players minus earnings from outgoings), Brighton topped the 2024 summer window charts with a net outlay of €182.91m. While Chelsea are known for splashing the cash in recent seasons, they failed to crack the top ten this time.
