  • Welcome lads…..but how come Etebo arrived a day before troost?….they are supposed to come together na as club mates……even Dennis too should be with them too na….?….. anyway what do I know?

Your comment makes no sense. Are Etebo and Troost joined together at the hip, so they should be going everywhere together?
Or are you suggesting that Troost does not take international assignment as seriously as Etebo because he arrived in camp a day later? And Dennis should come to camp without invitation?

      Myopia

    • They made their travel arrangements around their personal as well as professional lives. Do we know whether it was a family member’s birthday, or he had contractual issues to sort out before moving, or had to finish off something in his home (decorating, repairs, a contractor etc)? Or if the airline did not have availability for both? Or they both flew to Nigeria together, but he had to see someone in Lagos before getting to camp?

Thinking these people are “only footballers” is a mistake. They are also human with other responsibilities to take care of.

  • Where is oshimen. I would have loved the striker in second division Spain to be here too. I have forgotten his name now. Anyway good team. God will give you victory.

My good man, Liberians are also God’s children. He loves them too. And he is not partial.

      • Yes. Pompei but what of a case where they don’t care about Him and they don’t even pray to Him to help them. God oes not force Himself on people though He is God of all. Probably you have not thought about that. So it’s not bad to pray even in sports

So why is Israel and Saudi Arabia yet to win the world cup …?

Under normal circumstances, Rohr and this group pf talented players are very capable of getting us trophies. But how can they succeed with all the distractions caused by NFF ONIGBESE?
Can someone help us to plead with NFF ONIGBESE to please fulfill their obligations towards the team? Doing this will raise their moral, and make them better equipped mentally. No matter how much the players love Nigeria, it is inevitable that there will be bad feelings regarding the non-payment of 2 years worth of bonuses! Haba!
NFF ONIGBESE, please do the needful!

Instead of us Nigerians to invest in our grassroots and develop our local leagues, so we can have a steady supply of talents, our own is to call on God when it is time for important matches, as if our opponents are also not God’s children.
What do we have as a country that separates us from Liberia in God’s eyes? Are we more righteous than them? Is our country in better shape? Is it not arrogant and prideful to expect God to support us against opponents in a game of football? If you like, don’t go and help yourself. On match day, call on God to stop your more talented, better prepared opponent from defeating you!

Outside this topic, is NFF going to go for Anjorin at all? Or wait until he becomes a star, then compete with England. We did the same with Tammy and Dele.

    • Profjeff 3 years ago

Who is the anjorin coming to bench, even if the coach should release a 50 man list, anjorin won’t come close, learn to appreciate the ones we have…even ike ugbo and sheyi ojo never see space, its someone who recently stopped academy football we should be begging because he is foreign trained, let him show interest in our u20 or u23 teams first, lets go back to our grassroots development as we are all seeing the reward with the present super eagles, many of them came through the various rank of underage football

CMN my good man, imagine a scenario where you have 2 brilliant kids, very good at maths. They attend different schools, and each represents their school in a national maths competition. Now, your 2 kids make it to the final of the competition. As their dad, which of them will you support to win the trophy?
Why then do you expect God to support some of his children against his other children in a game of football? God is not partial. And football is not a life and death exercise.
God has already done his part. He provided your life, your body, the air you’re breathing, the grass you’re playing on. Water to drink when you get dehydrated.
If you want to win football matches, it is left to you to prepare adequately!
