The Super Eagles then beat Benin Republic 1-0 away to extend their lead at top of Group L.

Troost-Ekong took to the social media to celebrate the win.

Nigeria will host Lesotho in their final match of the qualifiers on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium , Lagos.
