Former Nigerian midfielder, Henry Nwosu has commended the Super Eagles for defeating the Squirrels of Benin in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
Recall that the team defeated Benin 1-0 thanks to Paul Onuachu’s last-minute goal to end their unbeaten home record and also qualify for the bi-annual tournament as group winner with a game to spare.
Speaking with Completesports, Nwosu said that he was impressed with the determination of the players against Benin on Saturday.
“I am really impressed with the general performance of the Super Eagles players against Benin on Saturday. The team knows the importance of the game and they took the game straight to their opponent without showing any sign that they have qualified after the Lesotho and Sierra Leone game.
“I also want to commend the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr for a well-done job with the team and for qualifying Nigeria for the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.”

Do you guys notice something, most of these ex-internationals that were criticising Rohr has never congratulated SE yet. The likes of Odegbami, Yakubu, Akpoborire, Babayaro, Udeze who called GR a Mechanic, Finidi etc.
If their criticism were constructive and genuine, they should be the first to congratulate Nigeria SE even as a patriotic Nigerian and then to say their criticism pushed Rohr to victory. But rather they are sitting in their couch now gnashing their teeth and counting their loss, wondering …………chai this man has done it again, how and when are we going to have our fangs on this SE to market our academy players or get in as a backroom staff at least. Even Oliseh forgot his Twitter account login since yesterday. Yeye people
hahahaha funny u Mr bank… congratulations SE…
