Former Super Eagles striker, Victor Ikpeba has questioned the role of the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, Austine Eguavoen in the surprise exclusion of Super Falcons forward, Desire Oparanozie from the list of players that will represent Nigeria at the Turkey Women’s Cup.
Ikpeba made this known during Monday Night Football on SuperSports, where he condemned the decision of NFF to drop a player that has been consistent with Saint Etienne in France.
“Eguavoen is the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and what role did he play in a situation like this.
“There should be no sentiment about inviting Oparanozie for the tournament in Turkey. She remains the most consistent player on the team in terms of playing regular football.
“I see nothing wrong if Oparanozie decided to voice out her mind on the situation of the players during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.”

I said it. Oh yeah did I not say this few days ago that Mr. Eguavoen have eaten sweet
plantains “dodo” and he can’t speak the truth anymore?
Our rulers/leaders are silencing us and they have brainwashed us and we couldn’t know our rights now more.
Oh why? Nigerian leaders, why? Nigeria is a great and no1 country in the world but because of the bad behaviors of our leaders,
We can not see that Nigeria is a great country.
However,
“Eguavoen is the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and what role did he play in a situation like this.

Hmm. Thank you Mr. Ikpeba for speaking the truth. We have patriotic Nigerians every where I’m so happy about that.
Amaju Pinnick and his troops should have this in mind that “whatever you do today, you will accounts for it tomorrow”. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Lol I was actually expecting you link the story to Rorh also or wat do u think
Eguavoen in the news again.
Wetin dey shele for area? Who did Cerezo offend? Or is he really shady?
As technical director, does he have a say in which players get invited to national teams? I thought that was supposed to be the exclusive responsibility of the coach, assisted by his staff. I would expect that Cerezo has no say in player invitation. He can monitor players and make recommendations, but it is up to the coach to send out the invites.
If it is true that he had a hand in the exclusion of Oparanozie, a striker doing well in France currently, then he has some explaining to do. If all the strikers in the team are better than Oparanozie, fine. Otherwise, we need explanation on why Oparanozie was excluded!
Sometimes former players can be football’s worst enemies. Let us watch Austin Egusvoen with suspicion.
