Victor Boniface scored his maiden UEFA Champions League goal as Bayer Leverkusen recorded a 1-0 victory over AC Milan at the BayArena on Tuesday night.
Boniface had the ball in the net after 21 minutes with a volley off the inside of the boot from Jeremie Frimpong’s cross, but VAR confirmed that the winger was offside.
The Nigeria international fired home the winning goal after 51 minutes.
The 23-year-old was replaced by Martin Terrier 15 minutes from time.

His compatriot Nathan Tella made his Champions League debut, coming on for Florian Wrtiz on 89 minutes.
AC Milan paraded another Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze for 11 minutes.
Chukwueze took the place of USA captain Christain Pulisic.
At the Estadio Giuseppe Meazza, Peter Olayinka was in action as Inter Milan thrashed Red Star Belgrade 4-0.
Olayinka was in action for the entire duration of the game.
