UCL: Oliseh ‘Extremely Happy’ To See Ajax Knock Out Juventus

Sunday Oliseh (inset in Ajax colours in photo above) is very pleased to see his former club, Ajax Amsterdam knock out his another ex-club Juventus in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League, Completesports.com reports.

Ajax with a young team caused an upset knocking out Juve who were one of the favourites for the title.

The Dutch side drew 1-1 with Juventus at the Amsterdam Arena in the first leg before beating the Italian Champions 2-1 in the second leg in Turin to advance 3-2 on aggregate.

“Ajax in the Champions League Semis is probably the best news, for saving world club football as we know it in a long time,” Oliseh tweeted.

“A built team playing it’s style as opposed to buying stars to win. Purposeful team Hard work pays, if you know how! Extremely pleased for my ex club and the fans.

Oliseh spent two seasons at Ajax from 1997-1999 scoring eight goals in 54 appearances.

He also won Dutch title and the KNVB Cup twice before his move to Juventus.
