Jannik Vestergaard insists Southampton believe in their ability to beat anyone under boss Ralph Hasenhuttl. The south coast outfit edged further away from relegation danger on Saturday after beating Wolves 3-1 at St Mary’s.
They now sit five points clear of the drop zone with a game in hand over Cardiff in 18th and are expected to retain their spot in the top-flight.
Hasenhuttl’s arrival in December certainly galvanized the squad, who were below Huddersfield in the standings at the time of the Austrian’s appointment, and Vestergaard insists they now believe they can beat anyone in the division.
“We are a lot more organised and everyone knows what to do,” Vestergaard told the Daily Echo. “That gives you confidence when you do better and when you suddenly win games and you make it tough for even very good opponents – top-six teams
“I think just by that he has given us some confidence. We’ve come a long way also mentally. I don’t think we are as vulnerable as we may have been earlier on in the season.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
