Nigerian stars; David Okereke, Emmanuel Dennis and Peter Olayinka are looking to help their respective clubs get favourable results in today’s (Tuesday) UEFA Champions League Playoffs first leg fixtures, reports Completesports.com.
Okereke and Dennis are part of Club Brugge of Belgium squad that will face Austrian club, LASL at the Linzer Stadion, Linz.
The duo who are yet to register a goal in the competition played in both legs of their Third Qualifying Round win against Dynamo Kiev of Ukraine.
Okereke in particular will be eager to replicate his league form for Club Brugge in the Champions League having scored four goals in four league outings for his side this season.
At the Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu, Czech Republic side, Slavia Prague with their Nigerian import, Olayinka will be up against Romanian outfit, CFR Cluj.
Olayinka, 24, has scored once in four league appearances for Slavia Prague this season.
On Wednesday, Samuel Adegbenro’s Rosenborg of Norway will face Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb at the Stadion Maksimir.
Rosenborg dispatched Slovenia’s Maribor 6-2 on aggregate in the previous round.
