Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie is relishing Italy’s 4-0 win over Malta on Saturday, October 14 at the Stadio San Nicola.
Fiorentina midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura scored the opening goal of the match in the 22nd minute.
Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi made it 2-0 in the closing stages of the first half and he completed his brace in the 63rd minute to give the game a 3-0 scoreline.
After coming off the bench Davide Frattesi scored Italy’s fourth goal in the 93rd minute.
Udogie came on for Federico Dimarco in the 79th minute of the encounter.

The game served as Udogie’s debut for the Italian national team after playing at various underage levels.
In an interview with RAI Sport as quoted by pazzidifanta.com, Udogie expressed happiness after his debut game.
“Wearing the Italy jersey was a dream I had since childhood and now it has come true,” Udogie said.
“I am very happy and even happier with the victory that allows us to continue pushing for qualification. It’s going well I must continue working hard and keep proving what I can do.”
Udogie has made one appearance for the Azzurri (The Blues) of Italy.
Italy are second in Group C of the Euro 2024 qualifiers standings with 10 points after five matches.
Udogie has two assists in eight Premier League games in the 2023/24 season.
Tottenham Hotspur currently sit in first position in the Premier League standings with 20 points after eight games in the division.
