Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala scored two goals and provided two assists, as Barcelona hammered visiting Benfica 9-0 on match day one in Group D of the UEFA women’s Champions League, Completesports.com reports.
Oshoala’s brace took her goals to three in all competitions this season.
Barcelona got off to the perfect start as Oshoala set up Patri Guijarro for the opener just one minute into the game.
Oshoala then provided her second assist for Barcelona’s second goal scored by Aitana Bonmati on 14 minutes.

In the 34th minute Oshoala made it 3-0 and got her second goal and Barcelona’s eight with six minutes left.
On Monday, Oshoala placed 16th in the 2022 women’s Ballon d’Or award which was won by her Barcelona teammate Alexia Putellas.
The award which was held in Paris, France, also saw Barcelona youngster Gavi claim the KOPA trophy (best young player award).
