Own goal but it was a chance off a fierce Muhammed shot that bounced off the post and rebounded into the net from a Ugandan player.  Tough match so far but I shade the flying eagles ever so slightly

Lawal and Aminu has to do better in d midfield, both keep given d ball away cheaply. Sarki needs to improve as he isn’t offering much. I ferl we are really missing Bamaiyi in dis game. Ogbelu is a bull

Bro. why do you want to start stupid argument and insults with the Ghanians?, and that’s not cool by calling people clowns. Let us enjoy the game and also wish the Flying Eagles good luck.

Boso, where did you get some of these old players that have no football sense? Simply pass the ball, and they are going on solo run. To please the scouts above what is at stake? Or simply they lack football sense?
Inwint be sad if they lose. After Nigerians o losing streak.

Bro, they are an eyesore to watch. Thank God we made the World Cup but serious work needs to be done. These boys play like they haven’t kicked football their entire life…simple pass, they over hit it, all their shots at goal always sky rocketed ….where them suppose pass, na stupid attempts dem go make….a good team will whitewash them.

Some days ago, I said the players were overaged, people on this site said that accusation have become boring, that am I able to prove that they are overaged, or if I was there when they were born.
I keep telling them that we are all Nigerians and Africans and we all know how an average 20 years old male should look physically. Apart from these players being overaged, they can’t even play ball. 90% of these players don’t deserve to be in this team and Ladan Bosso does not deserve to be the coach of this team. Only 2 players – the goalkeeper and Fredrich (no 12) deserve to be in this current under 20 flying eagles.
It’s a shame that Nigeria is presenting this team to the world.

Mr keep quiet if you nothing sensible to add here. Mr know how an average 20 year old looks like, i guess you probably haven’t left the shore of Nigeria, maybe i will recommend you travel out and see some 20 year old, looking like grandpa’s. is it only Nigeria that there players look like over-age, even the host had players with full adult beards all over there face. The coach is not blind, he has admitted the area of concern and definitely before world cup proper he would work on it

Calm down @Adeniyi the boys played with great effort, energy and enthusiasm, they should be lauded for achieving the ultimate goal of this playoffs, qualifications for the world cup!
It’s not easy i can bet you.The Ugandans are a very good side with excellent football skills but we had better possessions and attempt on goal we deserve the victory!
The boys aren’t overaged they are footballers from third world country they are faced with a hard life under Buhari’s government, the training they have to go through is more gruelling even more than a military training hence the deceptive looks which swayed you into believing the are older than they truly are.
Please give them credit for their resilience and toughness to overcome this very difficult Ugandan side. The misplaced passes were normal for footballers their age under such tense conditions with the world cup at stake.
They will certainly come good with more games they will snow ball in confidence.

  • Congratulations Nigeria

Thanks be to God, we have qualified for the world cup. Now I can relax and expect anything until world cup preparation. The first time the team played with a bit of cohesion. Congratulations to the team.
Would have been disastrous to miss the U-20 world cup just after missing the seniors. But the coaches must have to rejig this team properly with at least 5 solid players; two in the attack, two in the midfield especially a proper No 10 n 1 in the defence. That goal keeper Anigboso should immediately be invited to the SE after this tournament.

Congrats to Bosdo and his team for achieving dia 1st target, we could have won dis game easily by 3:0 if the boys wereca little smarter and less selfish. Sometimes u just have to win regardless of how ugly d win is. The team needs alot of improvements. If i were d gaffer the only players i will retain are bamaiyo, njoku (comma dey hia), frederick, agbalaka, ogwuche, ogbelu, daga, mohammed, anigbosso and nwosu (he wasn’t bad in d 1st game other than his distributions), the rest no follow at all. Lawal shows glimpses of a player but would easily give d ball away, he is a weakling in d midfield. Aminu helps but doesn’t deserve dat #10:jersy at all, he gives d ball away too often. Adams should be nowhere near dis team, he is just pure muscle and lacks intelligence, same with abubakar, he is pure muscle and no intelligence *although i saw improvement compared to his previous games but still shouldn’t be in the FE to d worldcup). Except if we no longer have boys dat can play soccer in 9ja anymore should players of these calibre be playing for FE.

That being said, the team is improving game by game. Uganda played well but we were comfortable all thru the entire duration of d game except on a few occasions where they had tame shots (back passes) to our goalie. Like i said earlier, if the foreign boys who came for trial couldn’t displace these guys then those foreign based players are pure garbage. As i see no reason Bosso woyld see a player who is better than these guys and elect to take these ones, no amount of moni is worth it, Imho.

Can’t the likes of Olusegun, Said, Tijani, Hamza from Manu Garba’s team, be drafted to dis team or are they now overaged? I tot wisdom ubani was invested but couldn’t make d team and he was part of dat Manu’s team. I think d addition of these guys will really help d team.
