Venezia sporting director Filippo Antonelli has confirmed that negotiations for the signing of Sevilla striker Akor Adams are at a very advanced stage, reports Completesports.com.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that Venezia and Sevilla have reached an agreement on a €16 million deal for the Nigeria international.
Antonelli On Adams Transfer
Antonelli acknowledged that the transfer is close to being finalised but revealed that a few details still need to be resolved before the deal can be completed.
“I promise that I will tell you everything once it is all closed,” director of sport Antonelli told reporters as quoted by Football Italia.

“The talks are at a very advanced stage, but there are still some final details to work out.”
Adams joined Sevilla from French side Montpellier in January 2025 in a deal worth €5.5 million.
The 26-year-old finished as Los Rojiblancos’ leading scorer last season, registering 10 goals and three assists in 32 La Liga appearances.
Venezia Making Quality Additions
Venezia secured the Serie B title last season to seal an immediate return to the Italian top flight.
The Winged Lions have already strengthened their squad ahead of the new campaign, signing Albion Rrahmani from Sparta Prague, Armel Bella-Kotchap from Hellas Verona, and Ale Gomes from Real Zaragoza, while also snapping up free agents Toma Basic and Thierry Correia.

Sevilla tyVenezia is not a good move.i will not celebrate and congratulate Akor on this move.
See hin Face, if you don’t value yourself nobody will value you. They see you as material and decide to sell you backwards. You self no value yourself by allowing a move to relegation strugglers from a whole Sevilla. This guy vex me no be small.
Same way awoniyi left Germany for northinghamwood abi na forest. Till tomorrow it has always been battle to survive religation season in and out.
Well it is their life and career so never cry more than the bereave.
I wike says some of se players have wiked number 6.
Meanwhile, Saibari has been signed by Bayern.
Is Saibari better than Akor?
However, Saibari just finished playing at the world cup, while Akor watched it on the telly.
Big clubs make their decision based on this and other factors.
Na to just spoil the deal with prayer because I know say na Adams village people dey push this wrong moves from the coven.
Make we just use prayers scatter am simple.
which one is Venezia.
Osimhen not pushing for a transfer outside Turkey, now Akor moving from a top club in a top league,to a relegation battling team in a weaker league says it all about Nigerian players and their mentality.
They think small with zero ambition..
Even in their football, they can’t win against any team in the top 20 FIFA rankings..Small minds..
They’re defeated even before the whistle is blown for the start of the game..
When they lead do not celebrate because they sure will concede in the 89th minute and will never score another to edge it’s opponent. In fact they’re likely to concede again.
The supporters too just like the super eagles, have inferiority complex. When for instance, the scoreline is one apiece, let say in the 69th minute, you read post from supporters, they went”we have tried even though we lose the boys have really tried”!
