Jan Vertonghen hopes Spurs can manage their injury problems as they battle for a top-four finish and European glory. Tottenham are without star striker Harry Kane due to an ankle injury and both Danny Rose and Dele Alli picked up knocks in Tuesday’s win over Brighton, which was Spurs’ sixth fixture in just 21 days.

Vertonghen admits the remaining weeks of the season will be a huge test for the squad as they bid to hold on to their top-four spot and land the Champions League title. “It’s definitely fine margins,” he said, as reported by Football London. “All the English teams have come a long way in Europe.
“The Premier League is so tough, both cup ties and teams you play with your country. It all adds up and it’s starting to show. “It is mind over body. We struggled all season a bit with some injuries. Hopefully we can get a couple of guys back soon.”
