Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon head coach Valentine Nguele has played down today’s WAFCON quarterfinal clash with Super Falcons of Nigeria, stating it is not the biggest game for her team in this year’s tournament, completesports.com reports.

After topping Group D, Cameroon will take on defending champions Super Falcons in the last eight, with the winner not only reaching the semifinals but also picking one of the four automatic tickets to the 2027 FIFA women’s World Cup in Brazil.
The last time the two teams met at this stage in 2022, the Super Falcons edged it 1-0, thanks to a Rasheedat Ajibade’s goal.
Speaking in Saturday’s presser, Nguele posited that her team has faced very tough opponents in the group stage.
“This is not the biggest match we will be playing in this tournament,” she said. “Mali was another big team and it was an important match, we also played Ghana and Cape Verde gave us a run for our money.”

Nguele Tips Super Falcons As Favourites
Nguele, however, admitted that the Super Falcons are the favourites for the encounter.
She added:”We must admit that Nigeria is a great football team and are favourites, that is one thing already. It’s a big team, we admit that, they have already won 10 times in this tournament, we need to accept that but we are in the quarterfinal which is another tournament.”
Cameroon’s Poor Record Against Super Falcons In WAFCON Knockout Games
The would be the 11th time Cameroon will face the Super Falcons in the WAFCON knockout round.
In the 10 previous clashes, the Indomitable Lionesses have only managed one win and lost nine, with their only victory coming in the third place match at the 2012 edition in Equatorial Guinea.

This werey is speaking out of two different sides of the same mouth lol – A very clear signal in body language signalling that she is scared and jealous of the SF’s but also suffering from an inferiority complex where the SF’s are concerned hehe.
From one side of your twofaced mouth, you’re saying that they (SF’s) are the greatest African Women’s football team and are the clear favourites, but from the other side, you’re trying to claim that they’re not your biggest game in the tournament? hmm…make it make sense now madam lool, just know now that you have showed your “hand” and it is clear that you are among the haters lmaoo, and you will lose, no doubt about that one!
How can they not be your biggest game but they’re the greatest team in recent times in African Women’s Football and have backed that claim by winning the damn thing the last 10 times and are now going for an 11th title, but somehow they’re are not the biggest game for you, who have not won in the last half a century, nor has any other team currently in the competition?
So again madam hater, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, how can any other team or match in the current set up be a bigger game for you than the reigning champs who have won it concurrently the last 10 times and all the other teams involved have also been there those last 10 times but only the SF’s have consistently won and beaten everyone , but you are here deceiving yourself that they are not your biggest game in the competition when every other team you will be playing have been proven to be inferior to the SF’s over the last 10 competitions?
Even the more recent ABOMINATIONS of Malawi and Zambia – teams who have got so desperate to try and break the stranglehold of the Nigerian WOMEN of the SF’s on Women’s African Football by resorting to deplorable and despicable means to try and do that – they have simply started to prosecute a WOMEN’S COMPETITION WITH MEN! lmaoo
