Ajayi has actually achieved this goal-scoring feat despite been a defensive player and that is as a result of his versatility on the field of play which West Brom appreciate.

The Baggies are backing him to score more goals and wrote on their verified Twitter handle: “Five goals in the SkyBet Championship this season for @SemiAjayi. Backing the big man to bag a few more in our last nine games?”

The 26-year-old joined West Brom July last year and has been a key figure in their push for promotion this season.

The Baggies together with Ajayi have been preparing for their final nine games in the SkyBet Championship with local rivals, Birmingham City first up at The Hawthorns.
