He seems good at club level but makes little or no impact at the national side. This is where Onuachu needs to work on so that he will not be relegated to club assignments alone. Awoniyi and Osimhen teaming up as was the case in cameroon is certain to make Onuachu a liability on SE bench.

  • Good move for paul if it materializes. He really has a fight on his hands if he intends to win the top strikers position in the Super Eagles.
With Osimhen in italy, Awoniyi in Germany and Iheanacho in England all playing well and scoring as well as creating goals on a regular basis, it will take a great improvement on onuachus part as well as a change to a top League and club for Paul to even stand a chance of getting playing time on the team.

  • Until Paul Moves to a top5 league I will always rate Awoniyi higher than him…… Awoniyi is still the most similar striker to Osimhen right now in SE.

@Akp; well said but me think you don’t go to war with the same weapon in your armory/arsenal. Like you rightly said, Awoniyi’s style pretty much resembles that pf Osihmen’s, hence the need for a dissimilar striker for times when things go rough on the ground, which Onuachu/Sadiq supposedly brings to the table

Partial apart, Awoniyi on Nigeria colors is better than Onuachu. His introduction during CAR vs SE in Cameroon really impacted, that is what we need in the Super Eagles.

Don’t know why Coach Rohr keeps inviting a bench warmer. Let him go to mancity or whatever, na him sabi.

When Africa Republic beat Nigeria at home, Awoyi is there. As a player, you don’t know who is gonna save the day. Onuachu need to go learn tactical football in Spain or Italy before coming to England. So that when he meet tougher defenders, he can cope
