West Ham Striker Emerges As Spurs Target

Reports claim West Ham striker Andy Carroll has emerged as a shock target for Tottenham this month.

The north London outfit will be without top scorer Harry Kane until March at the earliest after he sustained an ankle injury.

Forward Son Heung-min is also currently unavailable after travelling away to the United Arab Emirates to link up with South Korea at the Asian Cup.

It has left Mauricio Pochettino short on options in attack and he had to turn to Fernando Llorente for Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Fulham.

With some key games to come over the next few months as Spurs attempt to cement their place in the top four, it’s understood Pochettino is considering a shock move.

Reports claim that Carroll, who is set to be a free agent at the end of the season, could be available for as little as £2million.

The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout his career and he is yet to find the back of the net in eight Premier League appearances this term with west Ham.
