Wigan Warriors’ first-team coach Darrell Goulding has confirmed Liam Paisley has joined Barrow on loan until the end of the season. The 21-year-old forward, who has been playing at Swinton Lions on dual registration for most of this year, will move to the Championship side with immediate effect.
Speaking about the deal for Paisley, who has made eight appearances for Wigan and scored two tries, Goulding told the club’s website: “Liam progressed through our Academy and went on to make his debut for the Club this time last year.
“An offer from Barrow came in for Liam and he was excited for the chance to return home. We felt it was the right decision to allow him to gain more game time elsewhere to enhance his rugby league career further. “All the staff and players wish him the best of luck for the future.”
